The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) marked the inauguration of the Air Centre for Specialized Training at A’Seeb Air Base.
The ceremony was held last week under the auspices of Air Vice Marshal Khamis Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman.
The Air Centre for Specialized Training provides the RAFO and the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) with qualified personnel and it observes high quality standards, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
The Centre serves as a state-of-the-art educational and military training institution offering a variety of disciplines.
In another development, Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Za’abi, Secretary General at the Omani Ministry of Defence, received in his office Sunday General Kim Seung-Kyum, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Republic of Korea. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed several matters of mutual interest.
For his part, Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Ra’eesi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), also received the visiting Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Republic of Korea. The two sides discussed several military topics and reviewed matters of mutual interest.
Both meetings were attended by Brigadier Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Manthari, SAF Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning, Ambassador of Korea to Oman and the Military Attaché of the Republic of Korea’s Embassy at Muscat
